U14 Alpine Race Team - 4008
Program Overview:
The KSEF U14 program is designed for athletes aged 12 and 13 who have successfully progressed from the U12 Alpine Team or are committed to pursuing a higher level of competitive alpine ski racing. This program focuses on building upon the established foundation, refining advanced racing techniques, and preparing athletes for the demands of high-level competition.
Advanced Training and Development:
We offer a rigorous training program that emphasizes advanced gate sessions, precision skill drills, and guided free skiing, all tailored to enhance athletes' racing capabilities. The program is specifically designed to prepare athletes for the challenges of Far West races and further development within the U14 team.
Far West Racing Focus:
The U14 team exclusively participates in Far West races, which provide athletes with a challenging and competitive environment in which to showcase their skills and progress their racing careers.
Program Goals:
Our primary aim is to significantly advance athletes' racing skills, technical proficiency, and competitive mindset, preparing them for the next stage of their alpine racing journey.
US Ski & Snowboard Membership:
All athletes participating in this program must have a current US Ski & Snowboard membership in the U14 category.
Pre-Season Dryland Training:
Pre-season dryland training is offered on select dates from September to November. It focuses on physical conditioning and preparing athletes for the on-snow season.
Required Equipment:
Families are responsible for providing the following essential equipment:
Skis:
Skis suitable for Slalom (SL), Giant Slalom (GS), and Super G (SG) events.
Recommended options for both racing and training skis to optimize performance.
Boots: Properly fitted race boots with a flex rating between 70-110.
Poles: GS and SL poles equipped with pole guards.
Helmet: A hard-ear ski helmet with an FIS sticker, meeting international safety standards.
Goggles: Goggles with multiple lens options for varying weather conditions.
Gloves: Waterproof ski gloves or mittens.
Shin Guards: Shin guards are mandatory for Slalom (SL) training and racing.

Speed Suit: A Speed Suit with an FIS patch is highly recommended for racing.

Get ready to kick off an exciting season with KSEF! We understand that ski equipment can be a significant investment, so we encourage families to explore ski swaps and used equipment markets, especially for growing athletes.
