Fundraising
Fundraising
As a non-profit (501c3) organization, the Kirkwood Ski Education Foundation relies on fundraising in order to bridge the gap between the cost of running the program, and the program fees. In common with most Tahoe area racing programs, the tuitions paid to KSEF covers only about two-thirds of the costs to operate the program. As a result, we are highly dependent on fundraising to make ends meet. There are several ways you can contribute to KSEF. We appreciate any contribution or donation.

FAQ
What is the money used for?
Donations are partially used to cover operating expenses, but also used for new capital equipment that allow us to provide a better overall training experience for our athletes. This includes upgrades to our team room, equipment for video analysis, new radios, on hill shed and timing equipment, gates/fencing, etc…
How is the Ski Team funded?
All programs operate at a deficit. The foundation raises funds to cover the gap between income and expenses.
Can I donate items that are non-ski related?
Yes. As a part of our Head to Head Dinner/Auction, we are looking for both ski related and non-ski related items for our live and silent auction. Examples are mini vacations, golf/tennis trips, wines, and ski or sports items. Please contact Lisa Reilly at lisa4jrc@aol.com to make a donation.
How can I make a financial donation?
We gladly accept donations via cash, check, credit card and can also accept stock donations. Checks should be made out to KSEF.
Can I get a Donation Receipt for tax purposes?
The Kirkwood Ski Education Foundation is a 501(c) non-profit corporation. Donations are deductible to the full extent allowable by law.
